- Anti-corrosion protection: Powder coatings provide excellent protection against corrosion, which is particularly important in the case of black and galvanized steel, which are exposed to atmospheric factors.
- Durability and resistance: The coatings are extremely durable, resistant to abrasion, impact and chemical agents.
- Aesthetics: A wide range of colors and types of finishes allows for any visual effect, tailored to the individual needs of the customer.
- Compliance with the QUALISTEELCOAT standard: This guarantees the highest quality of coatings and meeting the requirements of the most demanding customers.
QUALISTEELCOAT standard - what does it mean?
QUALISTEELCOAT is an international quality system that specifies requirements for organic coatings on steel. The use of this standard guarantees that:
- The coatings are durable and resistant to damage.
- The production processes are strictly controlled.
- The company uses certified primers and painting powders.
- We have the appropriate equipment and staff.
Powder coating process of steel at Malmet Starmax
- Surface preparation: Thorough cleaning and degreasing of the steel surface to ensure excellent adhesion of the coating. In the case of galvanized steel, we carry out additional activities to remove any contamination and ensure optimal preparation of the substrate.
- Powder application: Electrostatic application of charged powder paint particles to the steel surface.
- Curing: Heating the elements in an oven at high temperature, which causes the powder to melt and create a uniform, hard coating.
- Quality control: This stage verifies the correctness of the entire process and may include visual inspection, coating thickness and adhesion, i.e. adhesion of the coating to the material.
