Playground in Rumia – A Big Challenge

The public contract included the design and execution of land development at Polna Street in Rumia.

Playground Design

The playground design was carried out at our design studio Starmax-1Move and received a valid building permit.
It was necessary to prepare geodetic maps and mark the playground, fencing, and footpaths on them.
Once the formalities were completed, we moved on to the implementation phase.

Playground Construction

We began the construction of the playground in Rumia with geodetic surveying.
Next, we performed earthworks: clearing the site, leveling uneven ground, and trenching for the playground equipment.
The project also included the construction of pathways and fencing made of panel fencing with entrance gates.
At the same time, our production facility in Bąkowo was manufacturing the playground equipment.

Starmax Zip Line manufacturer

The greatest challenge turned out to be the zip line – the terrain where we installed the equipment had a significant slope.
We had to carefully calculate the rope’s deflection and the relative heights of the starting and ending stations.
It all worked out perfectly – the zip line operates flawlessly, provides great fun, and is completely safe. Riders glide low over a layer of loose sand while sitting on a secure saddle.

Playground Installation

Our installation team, led by Wojtek, completed the entire installation in just two weeks.

A triple swing set with a “nest” seat

25-meter-long zip line

Playground Surface

We install all types of safe playground surfaces. In this case, the client opted for a sand surface, which blends naturally with the forest character of the surrounding area.

Result Exceeded Expectations

The playground at Polna Street in Rumia is a great example of a comprehensive investment – from concept and design to full installation.
Thanks to the commitment of the Starmax-1Move team and efficient collaboration between designers, surveyors, and contractors, we created a space that is safe, functional, and full of joy for the youngest residents of Rumia.
A diverse range of equipment – including a zip line, climbing pyramid, sandbox, and various play sets – makes the playground attractive to children of different ages.
It is completed with solid fencing, street furniture, and a safe surface.
This is yet another example proving that well-thought-out urban planning can combine quality, safety, and childlike joy.
